Long range
Slightly warmer and wetter Autumn.
September 2023:
Starting off with a heatwave with lots of sunshine. Maybe some temperature records could be broken. However a thundery breakdown is possible a week or two, turning cooler mid month with the return of rain and wind, but the southeast still could be warmer than average for a time. Towards months end the unsettled conditions are likely to remain with us although some drier interludes are possible.
Temperatures: Above average.
Precipitation: Slightly above average.
October 2023:
The detail is very unclear as it is long range. But I expect this month to be another unsettled month with wind and rain, but there could be a warm spell around the middle of the month with above average temperatures but with some colder nights with frost. Towards the end of the month it could become stormy for a time with some sleet and snow possible for the hills of Scotland.
Temperatures: Close to or slightly above average.
Precipitation: Above average.
November 2023:
Confidence begins to fall significantly, so it will be hard to pin point. Unsettled with more wind and rain with snow over the hills of Scotland. Some drier spells are also possible with overnight frosts are possible. However I can’t rule out some warm weather at times.
Temperatures: close to average.
Precipitation: Above average.
Warm at times, maybe colder later.
September 2022:
Low pressure takes control bringing wet and windy conditions, particularly across the northwest. Drier towards the south and east. High pressure builds back in and becoming dry and warm with sunshine.
Temperatures: Above to average.
Precipitation: Around average.
October 2022:
High pressure never too far away. Mostly dry with some bright or sunny spells, however some wetter periods are likely at times mostly in the northwest. Some colder nights are possible with frost and fog particularly across northern area’s.
Temperatures: Slightly or close to average.
Precipitation: Below
Precipitation: Slightly to above.
